Appointments
Consultations are by appointment only.
We offer routine advance appointments with all our doctors, up to 6 weeks in advance (subject to availability).
Urgent Care Clinic
Should you feel that you need to be seen TODAY, please telephone us before midday and ask the receptionist to inform the urgent care clinic.
Please give them your contact details and some information about your condition, as they will ensure that you are contacted by a clinician, preferably within 3 hours of initial contact. You will be asked to keep close to your phone.
If the clinician feels you should be seen today, then they will invite you to come to the surgery at a specific time. As these are emergency appointments please expect delays.
We also offer telephone consultation appointments whereby the doctor can call you either in the morning or the afternoon as agreed by the urgent care team.
The telephone lines are busiest between 8.00 and 10.00am.
Routine Appointments
You can see any doctor who is available. Please ask the receptionist if you would like to see a male or female doctor. We may not always be able to give you your choice, but we will endeavour to help you if we are able to and suggest an alternative doctor. Please note that each appointment is 10 minutes long. If you feel that you will need more time, please ask the receptionist if you can have a double appointment. Thank you.
The practice nurses also run their own appointment system and patients are able to book appointments in advance.
Please book an appointment with the practice nurse and not the doctor for routine cervical smears, contraception checks etc. You can take your own blood pressure test using our waiting room machine, just follow the instructions. The receptionists will advise you if it is appropriate to see a practice nurse. This will help to ensure that the doctors are able to see acutely ill patients and those patients who they need to review.
Morning Sessions can start between 8.00 and 8.30 - Afternoon sessions can start from 2.30 -3.30 - These sessions can be subject to change.
