Certain services such as private sick notes, letters to whom it may concern, fitness to travel, insurance claim forms and some medical examinations are not covered by the NHS and charges are made in line with BMA recommendations.

Please ask at the reception desk for our current charges, alternatively go to the separate section marked NON NHS Charges.  Payment is made by cash or cheque to Newtons Practice. We regret that we do not have electronic debit card facilities. 

The Doctors do not endorse Passport Forms or Shot Gun licences.

Non-NHS Fees


The NHS does not cover some medical examinations, reports and certificates. Typically these include insurance medicals, holiday cancellation reports, private patient certificates, medico-legal work and private letters or certificates for employers.
